Add or remove VAT from a price using a preset or custom percentage. Confirm the rate that applies to your transaction.

Gross price = net price × (1 + VAT rate); net price = gross price ÷ (1 + VAT rate)
At an illustrative 20% VAT rate, a net price of 100 becomes 120 gross. Removing VAT from 120 gives 120 ÷ 1.20 = 100 net and 20 VAT.
Divide the VAT-inclusive price by one plus the applicable VAT rate as a decimal. Simply subtracting that percentage from the gross price gives the wrong net amount.
Enter the rate that applies to the product, place and transaction. A calculation cannot determine tax eligibility or replace checking the current applicable rate.
